Symvolí Marketing just finished facilitating Advanced Marketing and the Training of Trainers programme hosted by the UWI Open Campus, UNDP and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management online. This programme saw participants register from most parts of the Caribbean. In one class, there were 130 participants.

My name is Vashti Ramsey- Casimir. I recently completed the Business Adaptation Training of the Trainers Programme offered by the University of the West Indies Open Campus supported by UNDP and Frankfurt University.
One of the subject areas covered was Marketing Management which was ably led by Sheldon T. John. Unlike most persons, Marketing was never a strong point of mine. In fact, I was very uncertain and dreaded starting this session. However, Sheldon’s style was very different from the other facilitators. His verbal fluency and non-traditional style of delivery was commendable. His more engaging presentations helped a lot especially in those three (3) hour long sessions that we had to go through two (2) evenings per week. He was very clear in his explanations and ensured that everyone was following. Sheldon’s mastery of this subject area and his genuine love for Marketing was evident from the onset – evident in the content, evident in the presentations, evident in the assignments given, evident in his feedback.
I believe that this helped me to feel more comfortable as we went through that subject area and even more comfortable to deliver this type of training to MSMEs.
